Barcelona’s leadership is planning a serious summer selection, writes AS. Club leaders are ready to spend 100 million euros to reinforce the squad for the next season. The Catalans want to attract two final defenders and a playmaker to be the replacement for veteran Andres Iniesta.
Among the transfer goals are the backs of Ektor Belerin of Arsenal and Theo Hernandez of Atletico Madrid and midfielder Felipe Coettinho of Liverpool. As an alternative to the Brazilian midfielder, they see Pari Saint Germain midfielder Marco Verratti. Barca’s bosses are going to pay about 30 million euros for Belerin and Teo’s 24 million dollars. The remaining money will go to the desired creative midfielder.
In the summer Barca is expected to leave Arda Turan, Jeremy Mattio and Andre Gomes. The Portuguese midfielder was bought for 35 million euros and is likely to be sold for around 25.
